Group 1a:
Essentially pure 2-hydroxyethyl methacrylate (HEMA) containing not more than0.2% weight of any ionizable chemical (e.g. methacrylic acid)
Group 1b:
Essentially pure 2-hydroxyethyl methacrylate, containing more than 0.2% weight of any ionizable chemical.
Group 2a:
A copolymer of 2-hydroxyethyl methcrylate and/or hydroxyalkyl methacrylates, dihydroxyalkylmethacrylates and alkyl methacrylates, but not more than 0.2% weight of any ionizable chemicals.
Group 2b :
As descripbed in Group 2a, but containing more than 0.2% weight of any ionizable chemicals.
Group 3a:
A copolymer of 2-hydroxymethyl methacrylate with an N-vinyl lactam and/or an alkyl acrylamide, but containing not more than 0.2% weight of any ionizable chemicals.
Group 3b:
As described in Group 3a, but containing more that 0.2% weight of any ionizable chemicals.
Group 4a:
A copolymer of alkyl methcrylate and N-vinyl lactam and/or an alkyl acrylamide, but containing not more than 0.2% weight of any ionizable chemicals.
Group 4b:
As described in Group 4a, but containing more than 0.2% weight of any ionizable chemicals.
Group 5:
Soft lens materials formed from polysiloxanes. |
