Side Pieces
The type of side piece that accompanies a frame is crucial to the way it site over the ear. Straight sides are commonly found in sunglasses where the frame grips you just above the ear. Curl behind the ear are typically given to young children who are not used to wearing glasses as the curl reduces the chance of the frame slipping off. Hockey ends are the traditional side piece where the bend occurs just over the ear.
Different Options on this feature will be shown at London Eyewear with the following icons:
Straight Sides
Straight sides cause the frame to grip the side of your head just above the ears.
Curl behind Ear
Curled Sides hook over the ear and help prevent the glasses from falling off.
Hockey Ends
Traditional Hockey ends (named after their resemblance to a hockey stick) sit over the ear.
