National Electrical Installation Standards (NEIS) – ElectricTV

http://www.electrictv.net/

The National Electric Code was one of the first steps to establish the base standards for safety and processes in electrical construction and installation projects.

In order to take these standards one step further and provide deeper standards and exact guidelines for safety and best practices in electrical installations of any type, the National Electrical Contractors Association (NECA) saw a need to build upon this document with the National Electrical Installation Standards. Today, NECA’s National Electrical Installation Standards or NEIS are the only ANSI-approved installation and maintenance best practices for electrical systems and equipment and are included within the National Electric Code.

ELECTRIC TV: ETV produces short online video documentaries highlighting the efforts of the IBEW and NECA in raising and maintaining high standards of electrical work while educating the public about ongoing trends in the electrical field and the benefits of professional unions and training programs.
